Jay Grimes danced professionally, ballet and Broadway, for 18 years, and never had an injury.
This he attributes entirely to Pilates.
He began his studies with Joe Pilates in the mid-sixties, and after Joes death continued with Joes wife, Clara, for another 10 years until her death.
Jay began teaching in the original 8th Ave studio in New York, then moved with the studio to 56th Street where he taught alongside (as well as studied wtih) Romana Kryzanowska and John Winters.
Over the years Jays clients have ranged from stars of Broadway and Hollywood, music and opera, to politicians, businessmen and housewives, and Olympic athletes.
He currently provides ongoing training to instructors, conducting workshops and master classes around the world.
He has made numerous TV appearances, including Discovery Channels Fit TV with Marilu Henner, with whom he also made videos for her Body Victory program.
In 2001 the Pilates Guild honored Jay for his 35 years of faithful service to the work of Joseph Pilates.
Siri Dharma Galliano specializes in working with movie stars on location on such films as Matrix 2,Matrix 3, and Kill Bill.
Certified by Romana Kryzanowska in 1994, she has made it her mission to make the classic method more accessible and teaches workshops at studios and fitness conferences in America, Europe and Russia.

Peter Fiasca, founder of Classical Pilates, Inc., began studying Pilates in 1988 and was certified by Romana Kryzanowska in 1998.
In addition to creating the well respected award-winning Classical Pilates Technique series of six DVD titles, Peter was invited by Romana to be in her first commercial DVD project.
Over the years, Peter has continued to study with 1st generation master teachers Jay Grimes and Kathy Grant, as well as other notable instructors in the field.
Peter is devoted to helping preserve the traditional technique & spirit of Mr. Pilates original method.

Edgar Tirado, founder of The Work Pilates Studio in Anderson, South Carolina, and creator of Tirado Pilates Apparatus complete line of traditional studio equipment, began studying the Pilates method in Atlanta in 1997, and was certified by Romana Kryzanowska in 1998.
Edgar upholds the integrity of Mr. Pilates original method by teaching students in his beautiful 2000 square foot studio, training apprentices, giving workshops and seminars for instructors, as well as manufacturing Tirado Pilates Apparatus traditional studio equipment.
