DIRECTIONS:

Big Bear Lake is about a 2-hour drive from downtown Los Angeles and about 3 hours from San Diego, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas and Palm Springs. From LA, follow any of the 3 routes below: It is 2 1/2 hours from LAX in no traffic, and 5 hours in traffic. It is 1 1/2 hours from Ontario Airport.You can rent a car for $35/day unlimited mileage from an airport or they'll be shuttle pick up available.

The Front Way:
Highway 330 from LA, Orange County.
Either Interstate 10 or 215 Freeway. Follow MTN RESORTS.
Follow to Highway 30 and then exit onto Highway 330, up the mountain through Running Springs.
330 becomes CA-18.
Follow CA-18 to Big Bear Lake and make a right at the lake
When you reach Big Bear Village, Northwoods Resort is visible on the left.

Alternate Front Way:
Highway 38 from LA, Orange County.
Interstate 10 to East to Orange Street exit.
Go through Stop Sign. There is a Trader Joe's through the next stop.
Make a left onto Orange St and head north
Right on Lugonia, past the town of Mentone.
CA-38 to Big Bear City.
It turns into Big Bear Boulevard. Drive East into town
Left turn on Pineknot Avenue. Follow Pineknot Avenue about 1/4 mile.
Right on Village Drive. Northwoods Resort is 1/4 mile down on the right.

The Back Way:
Highway 18 from the Mojavedesert, San Fernando Valley or as an alternate route from LA. or from Las Vegas or other states.( There is a short cut from Las Vegas, this isn’t it. check your map.)
Interstate 15 to Bear Valley Road exit, just south of Victorville.
East on Bear Valley Road to CA-18.
Right on Highway 18 up the mountain to Big Bear, through Baldwin Lake.
Left on Stanfield Cutoff. Follow Stanfield for about 1/2 mile.
Right onto Big Bear Boulevard.
Left turn on Pineknot Avenue. Follow Pineknot Avenue about 1/4 mile.
Right on Village Drive. Northwoods Resort is 1/4 mile down on the right.

Transportation:
Shuttle service between Ontario Airport and Northwoods Resort is available. Reservations must be booked through Suzanne at suzdif@aol.com. Please provide a copy of your itinerary when you reserve your spot.
Rental cars are also available at Ontario airport. Most major companies, as well as Rent4Less offer weekend and weekly rates.
